Facebook offers users the option to subscribe to an ad-free experience. However, this results in ads no longer being able to be run through the Facebook profile.
⚠️ To run ads on Facebook, the profile must be set to “use for free with ads.”
Please also make sure to deactivate the subscription for Instagram.
Step-by-step guide
Click your profile picture in the top right and select “Settings & Privacy” from the dropdown menu.
Now select “Settings” from the dropdown menu.
In the left-hand menu under “Accounts Center,” select “Ad Preferences.”
In the Accounts Center, click again on “Ad Preferences” in the left-hand menu.
In the options, click on “Free with ads.”
A pop-up window will open. Select “Use for free with ads” and close the pop-up using the “X” in the top right corner.
Now click on “Ad settings.”
In the pop-up, select the menu item “Ad experience.”
“Personalized ads” must be activated.
